We understand that as friendly as most churches hope to be, it still can be a little frightening visiting a church for the first time. Will everyone know what’s going on but me? How should I dress? Will they ask me for money?

We’ve done our best to make Brandon Community as “user-friendly” as possible. Whatever your background, especially if this is your first visit, we want you to feel comfortable and welcome.

What should I wear? Most of our folks dress business casual, but no one is concerned about anything other than your being here. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We accept people as they are. There is no need to dress up to try and be someone that you’re not. We’re just real, ordinary people here, and no matter how you’re dressed we’re just glad that you are here.

When should I get there? Service begins at 10:45am, so arrive about 5-10 minutes before that so you have time to settle in.

If you have children that need care, we have childrnen’s church for toddlers through 6th grade. The kids start out with the adults in the service and then transition to children’s church during the offering and sermon. Our children’s workers have been screened and trained and you will be able to worship with a clear mind, not worrying about your kids.

Please feel free to bring your infant into the service with you. We have a nursery in our children’s wing of the building, if you’d like privacy to feed or change a diaper.

Agreed Statement of Belief

These are the beliefs Nazarenes hold to be true:

We believe in one God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.

We believe that man is born with a fallen nature, and is, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.

We believe that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.

We believe that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.

We believe that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.

We believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
